Since 1995, American Scissor Lift has been California’s trusted source for aerial lift rentals and sales — built by people who’ve spent their careers in this industry.
American Scissor Lift got its start in February 1995, when a small group of partners — all veterans of the high-reach equipment industry dating back to the mid-1970s — opened their doors in West Sacramento as Sacramento Scissor Lift. It was a company of just three people with one simple goal: deliver the highest level of customer service in an industry that too often treated it as an afterthought.
That approach worked. Word spread among contractors who valued a rental partner they could actually count on, and the company grew to meet the demand — first with a Bay Area location in 1996, when the name changed to American Scissor Lift to reflect its expanding reach. Stockton followed in 2004, El Cajon in 2009, and the Los Angeles area after that. Today, American Scissor Lift operates six locations across the state, from the Bay Area and Sacramento to San Diego and Los Angeles, while holding onto the same principle that started it all: take care of the customer, and the rest follows.
